- Our office nurse will review pre-surgical instructions and provide information regarding where and when your surgery will be, inform you of pre-operative tests required, review your current medications, and schedule an educational class.
- Pre-surgery educational classes are held at the hospital. Our doctors want you to attend the class prior to better prepare you for your surgery.
- All joint replacement patients must see their dentist prior to surgery. Our office nurse will explain the importance in detail with you.
- You will be required to have pre-surgical lab testing, an EKG, and possibly a chest x-ray along with a note from your doctor clearing you for surgery.
- Please ensure our office nurse has a complete list of all medications you take including prescriptions, over the counter medications, herbal supplements and vitamins. Any changes should be reported to our office nurse.
- Remember our office nurses are here to help you! Please feel free to call during office hours, 8AM-5PM, with any questions.
